Our status regarding the current Covid-19 pandemic

Monday, 29th March 2021. 20.00h

Today, there's a welcome easing of restrictions in England which includes "outdoor gatherings (including in private gardens) of either 6 people (the Rule of 6) or 2 households" (source: Gov.uk).

Therefore, if data and the government suggests that this rule can be implemented then we feel it's 'safe' to open our door to customers once again.

Just two households will be admitted at any one time with face coverings to be worn at all times (unless exempt) and we request that patrons utilise the hand sanitiser on entry.

Opening hours as follows:

MON     Shop Closed

TUES    2pm - 6pm

WED    2pm - 6pm

THURS    12pm - 6pm*

FRI        12pm - 8pm*

SAT        12pm - 8pm*

“Very depressing and alarming news” says Huw Edwards on the BBC. And he’s not wrong. And you can’t escape the facts.

Therefore, in light of tonight’s order by the government to “stay at home” once again, Bottle & Co. in Mapplewell will close with immediate effect for in-store purchases as it did in March last year.

We WILL still be operating with our home delivery and click & collect services as per the following:

- Orders placed before 3pm will receive same day delivery Tuesday to Sunday
(Ts & Cs apply*).

- Orders placed via BottleAndCo.co.uk can be collected from our Mapplewell store any time between 2pm and 4pm Tues, Wed, Sun or 2pm and 6pm Thurs, Fri, Sat (later by prior arrangement).

We have felt ok operating with ventilation, hand sanitising and face coverings, but with this new strain of ‘the virus’ increasing risk of transmission “by 50-to-70 percent”, I want to protect our community, us and the NHS as much as possible.

On a final note, sorry to have to make this choice but feel it’s the right thing to do whilst still being able to serve you best we can and will review things as we go but realistically it’s looking like we’ll be operating in this way until schools re-open (February? March?)

Our thoughts and thanks to all other key workers out there who put themselves in the front line every day - including fellow retail workers in supermarkets who I know put up with a lot.

So #BeKind, stay safe and see you at a doorway (whether yours or mine!) with a carrier bag soon!

* Home delivery service is available within a 10 mile radius of S75 6AU.

We reserve the right to cancel any orders outside of this range with a full refund.

Sorry, but to make it viable, we have to ask you for a £3.50 flat rate fee per delivery.
