Sold as a pair, these were designed to be drank alongside/in comparison with each other.
They are not only a wicked cool names for a beer but is also a nod to the origins of the Brand New experimental hops used to create these New England Pale Ales.
Hiphopopotomus: To make The Bruce the growers used early Nelson Sauvin, early Motueka, late Pacifica and mid Pacific Jade.
The aroma has fresh gooseberry, citrus peel, ripe tropical fruit and orange blossom.
Rhymenocerous: Freestyle Hops (the grower) has been experimenting with variations on a new and quite different production process.
It’s their top-secret method of preserving and synergistically increasing perception of desirable aroma-active thiol compounds, creating bright and complex results. The goal being to showcase the best of NZ terroir.
